Raj Ridvan Singh, 25 • Social Entrepreneur

At 17, while most of the people his age were busy graduating from high school, Raj Ridvan Singh already became the Youngest Certified Systems Engineer in ASEAN. Naturally, that would be his golden ticket to secure any job he wanted. But his search for purpose in life coupled with his overwhelming passion to teach made him join his father's organization, Science Of Life Systems 24/7, where it aims to help those underprivileged and marginalized by providing free boarding and education.

"At one point it was all about the rat race, who gets the bigger car, bigger house, and bigger job. I wanted something more meaningful, as cliche as it may be." he explains. At such a tender age, to decide to drop his high-paying job and head to Cambodia to join his father's organization would be the most adventurous thing he has done.

Eight years later, he is still helping to run the organization that has since branched out to Malaysia and East Timur. "I've been lucky in life and I just want to share it." According to him, success is knowing how to be humble. "It's not easy for a successful person to be humble. The greater your achievements, the more humble you should become." Such are the wise words of a person who has been fortunate enough to find meaning, purpose, and direction in life at such a young age.
